2011 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship
The Volleyball Women's Championship 2011 was held from 15 to 23 September in Taipei instead. Record champions China won after two second places this time in the final against Japan again for the title. South Korea came in third place.
Mode
In the first round were thirteen teams in four groups. The group winners and runners the first round played in the second round of the pairings for the quarterfinals. There, the winners of Groups E and F met crosswise to the Fourth and the Second to the third party. From the quarter- finals it was a knockout system on to the finals. The losers of the quarter-finals played at positions five to eight. The teams that were in the first round become third in the group and fourth, determined the ranking in ninth to thirteen.
