2011 FEI World Cup Finals

The World Cup Final 2011 in Leipzig was the final of the World Cup series in four equestrian disciplines. It was held from April 27 to May 1, 2011 in the exhibition halls 1 and 3 of the fair Leipzig.

For the first time ever a World Cup final in four disciplines of equestrian sport was conducted in one place.

Patron of the event was the German Minister of the Interior, Hans -Peter Friedrich. Originally his predecessor Thomas de Maizière had taken over the patronage.

Equestrian in Leipzig

The Leipzig Trade Fair since 1998 hosted the equestrian exhibition "Partner Pferd", under which an international jumping and dressage horse show will be held. Since 2008 also vaulting competitions portion of the tournament, from 2001 to 2007 were also reining competitions (under the names LE Grand Open ) part of the tournament.

Grand Prix

On the evening of April 28 (Thursday, the second day of the tournament ) of the Grand Prix was held. These were the warm-up test, but this is mandatory for all participants in the World Cup Final Dressage.

World Cup

Finally, the World Cup Finals Show Jumping Championships was held in Leipzig in 2002.

1st test

The first part examination of World Cup Final Jumping took place on Thursday, April 28, in the afternoon. Here, the participants competed in one time jumping. The result was, as explained in the article FEI World Cup Jumping, converted into penalty points.

2nd test

The second test took place on the afternoon of April 29. It was a jumping competition with one jump-off.

After the first two partial examinations of the participants reached the points were added together. Subsequently, this rating points were converted into points of failure.

The closure was the third test, a jumping competition with two different rounds. At this examination, which took place on Sunday afternoon, were only the 30 top-ranked riders participate for the first two ratings.

European Youngster Cup Super Final

On Friday morning, the " Super Final " of the European Youngster Cup ( EY- Cup) was held. In this Jumping it was a jumping competition with one jump-off for riders up to the age of 26 years. Grand Prix (CSI 3 *)

Procedure and results

The World Cup season 2010/2011 was as pilot season's first World Cup season the vaulters.

The finale was, as well as the qualifiers from two freestyles, one at noon on Friday and one on Saturday afternoon. Both tests were conducted separately by gender. The two World Cup winners were determined from the average of the two Kürwertungen.
