2011 IIHF World Women's U18 Championship
The 4th World Ice Hockey Championships U18 junior women of the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships were in 2011 in the age group of under- eighteen year olds ( U18). In total, between 1 January and 3 April 2011 14 teams at the two tournaments of the top Division I and Division part.
The world champion was the third time the crew of the United States, which could defeat the final arch-rivals Canada 5-2. The German team finished the tournament with sixth place in the top division, Switzerland succeeded in the top division with a victory in the decisive match against Japan the avoidance of relegation to Division I. The team of Austria finished second in the Division I third place, Russia succeeded unbeaten direct promotion back to the top division.

Top Division
The U18 World Championship Top Division was held from 1 to 8 January 2011 in the Swedish capital Stockholm. The games were ( 1,980 seats) held in Stora Mossens Ishall ( 2,180 seats) and located in the Kista district Husby Ishall.
It was attended by eight teams that played in two groups of four teams. The world title, the United States secured by a 5-2 victory over Canada. It was the third overall title for the U.S. women.
Mode
After the group matches of the preliminary round, the two group winners qualify directly for the semi-finals. The runners-up and third - ever deny a qualifier for the semi-finals. The fourth group will contest a best- of-three - round for seventh place and relegation to Division I.
