2011 Medibank International Sydney

The Medibank International Sydney 2011 is a tennis tournament of the WTA Tour in 2011 for women and a tennis tournament on the ATP World Tour 2011 for men in Sydney. The event will coincide with the Ladies Tennis Tournament Moorilla Hobart International in Auckland and the Lord Tournament Heineken Open in Auckland from 9 to 14 January 2011.

Defender of the individual are Marcos Baghdatis in the men's and Elena Dementieva in the women. In the men's doubles pairing Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic, in women's doubles pairing Cara Black and Liezel Huber, the defending champion.

In the women, the individual has won the Chinese player Li Na. She sat down against Kim Clijsters through with 7:63, 6:3. In doubles, the pair Iveta Benešová / Barbora Zahlavova Strycova - won with 4:6, 6:4, [ 10:7 ] Kveta Peschke against the pairing / Katarina Srebotnik.
