2012–13 2. Bundesliga (women)

The 2012/13 season is the ninth season of the 2nd Bundesliga of women. The season began on September 2, 2012, and will end with the final matchday on 26 May 2013. The relegation matches between the third last shall be held on 2 and June 9, 2013

The BV Cloppenburg and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim secured the Season Championships and the associated promotion to the Bundesliga. The relegation places occupied Holstein Kiel, the FFC Oldesloe 2000, the second team of the SC 07 Bad Neuenahr and the SV Bardenbach. About the relegation also the first FFC Recklinghausen dismounted.

From the Bundesliga FSV Gütersloh 2009 and the SC 07 Bad Neuenahr dismounted. The newly promoted from the regional leagues were the LFC Berlin, VfL Bochum, the SV 67 Weinberg, TuS Woerrstadt and the second team of VfL Wolfsburg. The women's football department of the 1st FC Locomotive Leipzig changed 1 July 2013, closed for FFV Leipzig.

The scorer queens were Anna Laue from Herford SV with 22 goals in the north and Julia Manger from ETSV Würzburg with 24 hits in the south. In the title decisive match between TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and 1.FC Cologne a new attendance record of the 2nd Bundesliga was set up with 3,050 spectators.
