2013–14 Eurocup Basketball

The 2013/14 season is the 12th season of the material discharged from the ULEB Euro Cup.

Mode

At the tournament take part 48 teams. The regular season will be played in eight groups of six teams. It was divided into two local conferences. The first, second and third place in each group reached the second group, consisting of 32 teams phase, which is completed by eight participants in the Euro League, who have not reached the second round of the best 16 teams in that competition. It is equipped with eight groups of four teams, with the top two in each group qualify for the knockout stages discharged. The knockout round, quarter-final and semi-finals will be played in two games with back and leg. The overall winner will each next round. The last two teams playing in two finals of the winner of the Euro Cup.

Regular Season

After completion of the Euro League qualification, the participants were divided into an Eastern and a Western Conference at the draw on October 5, 2013. The teams from Western, Central and Southern Europe arrived in the Western Conference and the teams from North, East and Südösteuropa in the Eastern Conference.

The teams from Turkey, Israel, Hungary and the Baltic states were added to the Eastern Conference, while the participants in the ABA league were divided on the Conferences in the form that, unlike the other teams, the Croatian and Slovenian participants in the Western Conference participated.

First group stage

The games of the first group stage took place between 15 October and 18 December 2013.

For the group rankings not the whole point basket ratio, but only the added result in a direct comparison of the teams were among themselves decisively to teams with the same number of victories.

Second group stage (Last 32)

The matches of the round of 32 took place between January 7 and February 19, 2014.

Among the 24 qualified teams from the preliminary round were joined by the eight eliminated teams of Euro League.

Just like in the first round were for the group rankings on teams with the same number of victories is not the whole point basket ratio, but only the added result in a direct comparison of teams among themselves decisive.

Second round

The second round games were held between the 4th and the 12th of March 2014. The winners of a group had home advantage in the return match.

Quarterfinals

The quarter-finals were held between the 18th and the 26th of March 2014. In the return game the team had home advantage, which had reached the higher place in the second group stage (Top 32). Was this the same, the team had the most wins in the second group stage (Top 32) in the return leg at home. Was also equal to this number, the better goal average in said group phase decided.

Semifinal

The semi-finals will take place between the 1st and the 9th April 2014. In the return match, the team has home advantage, which has reached the higher ranking in the second group stage (Top 32). Is this the same, the team with the most wins in the second group stage (Top 32) in the return leg at home. If even this number is equal to decide the better goal average in said group stage.

Final

The finals will take place between the 1st and the 7th May 2014.
