Qualification
The qualification of the Australian Open was held for the ladies from 10 to 12 January 2013. Plays were twelve qualifiers places eligible to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
In the women's no German, Swiss, Austrian or from Liechtenstein to qualify for the main draw. Overall, five German, Stefanie Voegele and Romina Oprandi of Switzerland, as well as the Austrian Tamira Paszek took part in the individual competition.
