2013 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup

The Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup 2013 is the 100th edition of the American football cup competition of Lords. Organizer of the tournament was the United States Soccer Federation. The tournament began on May 7th and ended with the Cup final on October 1, 2013. DC United won the final at Real Salt Lake 1-0.

For the second time in the history of the competition attended by all 32 US-based teams in the first three league levels of the North American league football. The teams of these leagues from other countries or territories ( Canada, Antigua and Barbuda, Puerto Rico) may not participate, because they are not a member of the United States Soccer Federation. A total of 66 teams will be increased.

The winner of the tournament will get a starting place in the group stage of the CONCACAF Champions League 2014 /15 campaign.

Results

All rounds will be played in each game without game. In Torgleichheit after the end of normal time, extra time of two periods of 15 minutes played. If the score is then still balanced, followed by a penalty shoot-out with five shooters. The Roman number after the name of the team in the result tables refers to the league level. Since the U.S. Soccer Federation officially classified only three professional leagues in planes, all other teams to league level IV or V level IV includes teams in the semi- professional leagues, USL PDL and NPSL, Level V, the remaining teams, regardless of the league in which they play.

Play-In Round

The play -in round of the tournament was held on 7 May 2013.

First round

The first round of the tournament was held on 14 and 15 May 2013.

2nd round

The second round was held on 21 May 2013. The winners of the first round play each against a higher class team that has qualified directly for the 2nd round.

Round 3

The third round was played on 28 and 29 May 2013. The winners of the second round, met on one of the 16 representatives of Major League Soccer, the top division in the U.S. professional football, respectively.

4th Round

The fourth round was held on 12 June 2013. Two winners of the third round played against each other.

Quarterfinals

The quarter-final was held on 26 June 2013.

Semifinal

The semi-final was held on 7 August 2013.

Final

The finale was held on October 1.
