Background

For Formula 3 Masters 2013 came to 24 pilots from the German Formula 3 Cup, the European Formula 3 Championship and the Super GT.

Seven pilots started with Volkswagen, 16 pilots with Mercedes -Benz and a pilot with a Nissan engine.

Qualifying

In the first part of qualifying Felix Rosenqvist was the fastest driver in the field. Behind him followed Harry Tincknell and Alex Lynn.

At the order of the Top 10, the second part of qualifying did not change. Only seven riders improved in this section.

The pole position thus went to Rosenqvist before Tincknell and Lynn.

Race

Rosenqvist started from the pole position well and kept the lead. Tincknell lost when starting up two places to Lynn and Emil Bernstorff and was after the first lap in fourth position.

In round five Sven Mueller and Lucas Auer collide with each other, as Auer on the start-finish straight off on a overtaking. While Auer slid into the gravel trap and was eliminated directly, Müller was able to control his car in the pit lane. There, however, he had to end his race.

On lap twelve Sean Gelael difference after a mistake with subsequent collision with the guardrail.

At the top of the field there Rosenqvist took off from the rest of the field and were not from the lead the entire race. It was already the second time after 2011 that Rosenqvist decided the Formula 3 Masters for itself. On the podium in second and third Lynn and Bernstorff arrived at destination, followed by Tincknell, Eddie Cheever III and Jordan King.
