2013 PDC Pro Tour

The PDC Pro Tour Darts 2013 is a series of tournaments that will not be televised. This series is organized by the Professional Darts Corporation ( PDC). These tournaments are the Players Championship, the UK Open Qualifiers and the European Tour events. This year there are 32 PDC Pro Tour events - 16 Players Championships, 8 UK Open qualifiers and eight European Tour events.

Purse

The prize money for each UK Open Qualifier is, as in the 2012 season, £ 34,600. The prize money for each player Championship has been increased from £ 34,600 to £ 50,000 and the prize money for the European Tour was increased to £ 100,000 per tournament.

PDC Pro Tour Card

132 players have a tour card, which allows them to all Players Championships, UK Open Qualifiers and European Tour events to participate.

Tour Cards

The Tour cards for 2013 were awarded as follows:

  • The top 64 of the PDC Order of Merit after the World Championship 2013
  • 40 Tour Card holders from the Qualifying School last year that are not in the top 64 of the Order of Merit.
  • The first two players in the PDC Unicorn Youth Tour ( Chris Aubrey and Josh Payne )
  • Winner of the Scandinavian Darts Corporation Order of Merit ( Jarkko Komula )
  • 25 qualifiers from the 4 -day Qualifying School in Barnsley ( four semi-finalists each day plus the top 9 of the Q School Order of Merit )

Qualifying School

The PDC Pro Tour Qualifying School took the Metrodome in Barnsley from 17 to 20 January.

Players Championship 2013

There are 16 Players Championship tournaments this year. The first was played on 4 May 2013 Wigan.

  • Players Championship 1 in the Robin Park Tennis Centre, Wigan on May 4.
  • Players Championship 2 in the Robin Park Tennis Centre, Wigan on May 5.
