2013 Qatar Open

The Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2013 was a tennis tournament, which was held in Doha from 31 December 2012 to 5 January 2013. It was part of the ATP World Tour in 2013 and was held outdoors on hard court. In the same week Brisbane were the Brisbane International and the Aircel Chennai Open in Chennai played in that counted just like the Qatar ExxonMobil Open to Category ATP World Tour 250.

Defender of the single was the Frenchman Jo -Wilfried Tsonga, who defeated his compatriot Gaël Monfils in straight sets in the final. This year, however, he no longer participated. It won his compatriot Richard Gasquet against Russian Nikolay Davydenko in three sets. For Gasquet it was already the eighth title in his career. In double Filip Polášek and Lukáš Rosol won the tournament last year. While Rosol no longer participated in the tournament, Polášek played with his Austrian partner Julian Knowle reached the final. There, however, they lost in the end the German duo Christopher Kas and Philipp Kohlschreiber in straight sets 5:7 and 4:6. For the duo Kas / Kohlschreiber it was the third joint doubles titles on the ATP Tour. They stood together in the final of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open last year, but this clearly lost in straight sets.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 32 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs.

The qualifying for the Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2013 took place between 31 December 2012 of 29. Were playing four qualifiers places eligible to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
