2014 Men's World Floorball Championships
The final round of the 10th Floorball World Championship for Men will be held in Gothenburg, Sweden from 5 to 14 December 2014.
Venue
The Games of the Floorball World Championships 2014 in Gothenburg Scandinavium (first and final round ) and the Liseberghalle ( Preliminary and placement games) instead.
Qualification
For the first time in the history of floorball world championship had to on the host, all teams participate in a qualifying round. Previously, the top five teams in the previous World Cup were directly qualified for the next edition.
A total of 30 teams took part in the continental qualifying rounds. The qualifying tournaments were held January 28-February 2, 2014. The 16 places for the finals were awarded as follows:
- Europe: 11 participants (including hosts Sweden )
- America: 2 Participants
- Asia and Oceania: 3 participants

Sweden hosts qualify automatically.
Mode
The Floorball World Cup 2014 is the first World Championship for Men, which will be held for a new mode which is supposed to guarantee in the first round balanced and exciting games.
It is played in four groups of four teams. In group A and B also play the eight in the world rankings on best -placed participants in groups C and D, the remaining teams. The draw of the teams in the groups according to the following scheme.
The two winners of Groups A and B will qualify from the group stage directly for the quarter-finals, the third - and fourth-placed to play a playoff round against the top two of the groups C and D. The winners of these play-offs also qualify for the quarter-finals.
Draw
The draw for the group stage of the tournament took place at 13:30 (CET) in Gothenburg on 25 February 2014. The teams were divided into four pots according to their placement in the world rankings.
The teams were drawn consecutively starting with pot 4 of the pots. The teams from Pot 3 and 4 were alternately allocated to Group C and D, the crews of the pots 1 and 2 to group A and B. The draw resulted in the following groups.
