2015 Pan American Games

The XVII. Pan American Games will be held in the Canadian city of Toronto in 2015. Toronto could be in the award by the Pan American Sports Organization on 6 November 2009 against the competitors Lima ( Peru) and Bogota (Colombia ) prevail in the first ballot. The games will be from July 10 to July 26 under the motto: United we play take place. The games will be held in Toronto and the region of the Golden Horseshoe. As the central stadium, where the opening and closing ceremonies are to take place, the Rogers Centre was chosen. The sports facilities are roughly divided into three zones: the Central -Games- Zone ( distributed to the cities Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Richmond Hill and Markham ), Western Games Zone ( in Hamilton ) and the East -Games- Zone ( in Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax and Pickering ). In addition to it, there are sports facilities, which are located in Barrie, St. Catharines, Caledon, Minden Hills and Welland.
