23rd Berlin International Film Festival
The International Film Festival took place in 1973 to 3 July 1973 by June 22.
The stars of the Berlinale came once again from Hollywood. Robert Aldrich presented out of competition his action film before a train for two scoundrels. Lee Marvin and Ernest Borgnine came to Berlin to present the film. The competition there was rather less celebrity and the Hollywood -heavy.

International Jury
This year, the jury president was the British film historian and critic David Robinson. He got the following jury: Hiram Garcia Borja (Mexico), Freddy Buache ( Switzerland ), Eberhard Hauff ( Germany ), Harish Khanna (India ), Paul Moor ( USA ), Walter Müller- Bringmann ( Germany ), René Thévenet (France) and Paolo Valmarana (Italy).
