(270 ) Anahita is an asteroid of the inner main asteroid belt, which was discovered on October 8, 1887 by Christian Heinrich Friedrich Peters at the observatory of Clinton (USA).

It was named after celestial bodies Anahita, the ancient Iranian goddess of water and fertility.
