  • After the death of Agathocles Hicetas takes control in Syracuse. Some of the Mamertines, mercenaries in the service of Agathocles, draw after his death to Messina, where they are rapidly gaining in influence.
  • I. Pyrrhus of Epirus defeated Pantauchos, the commander of the Macedonian king Demetrius I Poliorketes, where Pyrrhus makes 5,000 prisoners. Then penetrates Pyrrhus before to Edessa, but then again expelled from Macedonia.
