3-Länder-Tour

The Hesse - tour, since 2006 officially 3 countries tour the SV SparkassenVersicherung or short 3 countries tour, was a cycling stage race that was held from 1982 to 2007.

It was originally designed as a race for amateurs. The Hesse - tour was part of the newly formed UCI Europe Tour 2005 (Category 2.1) and was part of the new German championship. For their 25th anniversary year in 2006, the Hesse - tour to three-country tour has been renamed. The name was played by referring to the fact that the round trip no longer led primarily by Hesse, but also by an equivalent volume of Thuringia and Baden -Württemberg.

Due to the loss of their main sponsor, the savings bank insurance, the Hessen- tour has not been held since 2008.
