30-Meter-Band

30 - m band is defined as the frequency range from 10.1 MHz to 10.15 MHz. It lies in the short- wave spectrum and is a WARC band. The name is derived from the approximate wavelength of this frequency range. Since the 30-meter band is a WARC band is here not contest operation is allowed.

Propagation conditions

The days attenuation by the D layer is relatively low, therefore can be around the clock for all seasons DX to build bridges even when other DX bands (such as the 10 - m, 12- m and 17- m band ) already no longer usable.
