(308 ) Polyxo is an asteroid of the main asteroid belt, which was discovered on March 31, 1891 by A. Borrelly at the Observatory of Marseilles.

It was named after celestial bodies Polyxo, Mother of Antiope from Greek mythology.

Polyxo moves at a distance of 2.6 ( perihelion ) to 2.9 ( aphelion ) astronomical units in 4.6 years of the sun. The orbit is inclined 4.4 ° to the ecliptic, the orbital eccentricity is 0.04.

Polyxo has a diameter of 141 kilometers. It has a dark surface with an albedo of 0.05. In about 12 hours it rotates around its own axis.
