40th Academy Awards
The Academy Awards 1968 took place on April 10, 1968 at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in Santa Monica instead. It was the 40th Annual Academy Awards. In the year of award films of the past year are always excellent, in this case, the films of the year 1967. The ceremony was supposed to take place already on 8 April, but was postponed on April 4, due to the assassination of Martin Luther King.
Since black and white films had become very rare in the price of the camera, set design and costume design were first no distinction between color and black and white films.
