(41 ) Daphne is an asteroid of the main asteroid belt, which was discovered on 22 May 1856 by Hermann Mayer Salomon Goldschmidt.
It was named after celestial bodies Daphne, a nymph in Greek mythology who fled before the God Apollo.
Daphne has a diameter of about 175 kilometers. In about six hours it rotates about its own axis. He has a dark, carbonaceous surface with an albedo of 0.083. Its absolute magnitude is like using 7,12 specified.
Daphne has got a moon of about 2 km in diameter, orbiting it in 440 km.
