(4577) Chikako

( 4577 ) Chikako is one of the main asteroid belt, which by Japanese astronomers Yoshio Kushida and Masaru Inoue at Yatsugatake South Base Observatory ( IAU code 896 ) was discovered on November 30, 1988.

The asteroid was named after Chikako Mihashi (* 1950 ), which was active for many years for the promotion of astronomical education in Japan. Especially her was because of the Yatsugatake South Base Observatory connected Astrovillage at heart who pursues this goal specifically for children.
