( 4792 ) Lycaon is an asteroid from the group of Jupiter Trojans. Thus asteroids are called, which run on the path of Jupiter on the Lagrange points around the sun. ( 4792 ) Lycaon was discovered on 10 September 1988 by the American astronomer Jean Carolyn Spellman Shoemaker. He is associated with the Lagrangian point L5.

Is named the asteroid after Lycaon, the son of King Priam of Troy.
