49ers (band)

49ers are an Italian Italo House and Euro Dance Project, which consists of producer and DJ Gianfranco Bortolotti and singer Ann -Marie Smith. It was named after the 49ers American football team San Francisco, because Smith was the 49th female singer at the casting.

They had a string of hits in the U.S. dance charts, including Touch Me and Do not You Love Me, both occupied in 1990 square one.

The 49ers are an example of two characteristics of the Italo House: The removal of lyrical hooks from other works, and the unbalanced use in terms of English grammar and pronunciation. The rhymes, which often form the chorus at Italo House songs arise, usually only in a very impressionistic way sense, if at all.
