The Missouri - Illinois Dodge Dealers 250 is a car race in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, which will be held at the Gateway International Raceway.

History

Elliott Sadler won the very first race of the season on a hot day in July. This year it was called Gateway 300, before it was renamed for the period from 1998 to 2001 Carquest Auto Parts 250. Due to complaints about the extreme hot weather in July, the race took place in the 1998 season, held in October, which Dale Earnhardt won junior. For the 1999 season, the race was placed back in July, but was held as a night race. Winner this season was also Dale Earnhardt Jr.

The edition of 2000 was won by newcomer Kevin Harvick and at the same time he set a new race record. The following year, the winner was also named Kevin Harvick. After a name change to charter 250 in the 2002 season, Greg Biffle won the race.

In the 2003 season, the race was moved in May and found the same place again as Tagrennen. After Mike Bliss had dominated the second half of the race, he went into the final round of the gasoline and Scott Riggs won the race. Already in the following season, it was again discharged as a night race that Martin Truex Jr. won.

In 2005 Rusty Wallace completed his last season in the Nextel Cup. In his honor, it was decided to hold the race as Wallace Family Tribute 250. Wallace himself took part in the race, but retired shortly after half- time from. The winner was Reed Sorensen. In the 2006 season it was back in July with Carl Edwards as the winner, in 2007 won Sorensen for the second time the race. Under the name of Missouri - Illinois Dodge Dealers 250 Carl Edwards won the race for the second time.
