59 Times the Pain

59 Times the Pain was a skate punk band, which was founded in 1992 in Fagersta, Sweden and disbanded in 2001.

Band History

In 1992, the band of Magnus Larnhed (vocals / guitar), Michael Conradsson (bass ), Toni Virtanen (drums) and Kai Kalliomäki (guitar) was founded. The band's name is inspired by the eponymous song of the band Hüsker Dü. Kai was soon replaced by Niklas Lundgren, who remained in the band up to resolution 2001. Through their first demo tape Feeling Down she attracted the attention of the record label Burning Heart Records, where they signed their first contract in 1993. The following year, they recorded the album Blind Anger & Hate, which was unusually short with 10 songs.

During the Swedish Hardcore and Punk Melody phase in March 1995, 59 Times the Pain took the label Unisound Recordings debut their first full length album on: More Out of Today.

In September 1995, the punk rocker then recorded the album Twenty Percent of My Hand. The fast and aggressive nature of the album and the very successful single release Can not Change Me this album was one of the most successful in the band's history of 59TTP.

The follow-up album, End of the Millennium, was released in February 1999. On their fourth album, released in 2000, they developed their style and combined with the hardcore melodic elements.

In 2001, the band broke up.

After its dissolution in 2008, they played a show at Groezrock Festival in Meerhout, Belgium.
