5BX ( Five Basic Exercises for abbr, Eng. Five basic exercises ) is a fitness program, the end of the Fifties by Bill Orban for the Royal Canadian Air Force was developed.

The 5BX Plan consists of five exercises (among abdominal crunches, leg lifts, push ups, running in place ). The number of repetitions and the difficulty increases with time. It is, work your way up six sections, each with 12 levels. The exercises are needed eleven minutes per day.

The 5BX Plan was originally intended only for male members of the Air Force, for female staff existed of similar XBX plan.

Despite its considerable age 5BX still enjoys some popularity because it allows this plan to train agility, muscular strength and endurance with a minimum of time.
