(60 ) Echo is an asteroid of the main internal belt, which was discovered on September 14, 1860 by the astronomer James Ferguson schottischstämmigen.
The celestial body was initially named " Titania ", unaware that this name was already taken for a Uranus moon. The celestial body was therefore renamed Echo, a nymph in Greek mythology.
