( 6546 ) Kaye is an asteroid of the main belt, which was discovered on 24 February 1987 by Czech astronomer Antonín Mrkos on Kleť Observatory (IAU code 046) in Český Krumlov.

The asteroid was named after the American actor, comedian and singer Danny Kaye (1913-1987), who worked for many years one of America's most popular comedians and from 1954 for many years as an ambassador for the Children's Fund (UNICEF ).
