( 78652 ) Quero is an asteroid of the middle main belt, which was discovered on October 3, 2002 in the Campo Imperatore Near- Earth Object Surveys ( CINEOS, IAU code 599 ) on a Schmidt telescope on the Italian high plateau of Campo Imperatore.

The asteroid was named after the Italian community Quero on 18 June 2008. Quero is the home town of the parents of Italian astronomer Fabrizio Bernardi, who has worked for the CINEOS project.
