( 8554 ) Gabreta is an asteroid of the main belt, which was discovered on May 25, 1995 by Miloš Tichý at Kleť Observatory in the Czech Republic.

The name Gabreta is an old, probably Celtic term for the Bohemian Forest. He was first mentioned by Strabo in his Geographika in the first century.
