( 8898 ) Linnaea is an asteroid of the main belt, which was discovered on September 29, 1995 by G. Emerson, Golden.

The asteroid is named after Linnaea Keammerer Barton (1980-1992), a girl who died at age 12 in an accident with a firearm. It has made them known to the sight of the comet 1P/Halley a journalist said the age of 6, she would like to experience it to see him again in 75 years.
