91 Aquarii

1

ψ1 Aquarii ( PSI1 Aquarii, short ψ1 Aqr ) is a multiple star system about 150 light-years away to find from the Earth in the constellation Aquarius.

Stars

ψ1 Aquarii A is the main star of the system and a giant star with spectral type K0 III and an apparent magnitude of 4.2 mag. In 49.2 arcseconds away from him there is a double system of two stars, ψ1 and ψ1 Aquarii B Aquarii C, which have an angular distance of 0.2 arcsec and their apparent magnitudes may each lie at about 10.

Exoplanet

2003 was discovered using the radial velocity method that ψ1 Aquarii A is orbited by a companion who is designated by 91 Aquarii b, HD 219 449 b or ψ1 Aquarii b ( PSI1 Aquarii b). The exoplanet has at least about three times the mass of Jupiter and orbits the main star on an almost circular path in about half a year ( 181.84 days ). Its distance to the own solar corresponds to 0.324 AE ( he is therefore 0.324 times as far from its sun as the earth from our sun ).
