Origin and background

After the release of the debut album For God and Country drummer Rich McDermott left the band. He was replaced by Sean Sellers. The recordings for the album took place in San Francisco in the Razor's Edge Studios. A total of 24 songs were recorded, including two recorded cover versions of " Come Dancing " and " Hall of Fame". The original performers were The Kinks or Government Issue. The song " Hall of Fame" was used as a hidden track. Produced A Comprehensive Guide to Moderne Rebellion by Ryan Greene and the band.

" Weight of the World" contains excerpts from the movie as you live. In "A Credit to His Gender" occurs Cinder Block, singer of the punk band Tilt as a guest musician. The song "Last Believer " was named after an episode of the PBS documentary about the former U.S. president Lyndon B. Johnson. The band released this song already on the debut EP Gidget and took it for the new album. With each album, the band donated $ 0.10 to the organization Food Not Bombs.

The six songs that were not used for the album were later released on split EPs with bands Reliance, Ignite, Ill Repute and Ensign.
