A Flash Flood of Colour

A Flash Flood of Colour is the third studio album by the English post - hardcore band Enter Shikari. Produced by Dan Weller album was recorded in May and June 2011 in the Karma Sound Studios in Chonburi (Thailand). The album was the world 16 January 2012 through Ambush Reality - and published by Hopeless Records in North America - the band's own record label. The album is the successor of the second studio album Common Dreads.

Background, content and texts

While it Enter Shikari increasingly addressed such issues as financial crisis, economic crisis and the widespread dissatisfaction in their album Common Dreads 2009'er, the lyric alignment of A Flash Flood of Colour was different. Singer Rou Reynolds believes that the music offers a great way political ideas to pass on to all people, whether religious or not.

The attitude in A Flash Flood of Colour can be described as politically progressive. The band deals with current issues and environmental issues. The goal is to " the weaknesses of capitalism, the hypocrisy of modern politics and the blatant disregard for human health and happiness " to remember. However, despite strong political incentives, which are hidden in the album, singer Reynolds stresses that the album actually was not politically motivated. Furthermore, the band believes that politics is an outdated system and that it was now time to make life according to scientific developments was. The recording was produced by former Sikth guitarist Dan Weller, who had helped in the production of the previous album Common Dreads. The band recorded the album over a period of two months, in May and June 2011 at Karma Sound Studio in Thailand. The recording of the album began in a London recording studio, where already the first ideas were implemented. Weller informed little later, the band that he knew a friend who had a Thai recording studio. Loved this proposal left the band members England to record the album in Thailand. The band released two singles in advance, which is not included in A Flash Flood Of Colour: Destabilise and Quelle Surprise.
