A Harlot's Progress

A Harlot 's Progress (English: The career of a prostitute ) is a series of six paintings and etchings by William Hogarth, which he created in 1731 and 1732.

The English composer Iain Bell wrote for the soprano Diana Damrau in the title role, the opera A Harlot 's Progress ( libretto: Peter Ackroyd ) by Hogarth's cycle, on October 13, 2013 at the Theater an der Wien under the baton of Mikko Franck and directed by Jens- Daniel Herzog premiered.
