À la suite

À la suite is a term from the military, the people called who were entitled to wear a regimental uniform, but otherwise without official capacity. The transmission in the wake of the facts is true at best.

In Prussia these were:

  • To ensure à la suite of the Army, for example, those officers who were ordered to carry out certain higher civil service positions in non- Prussian army corps this to the ongoing evolution in the Prussian army
  • à la suite of regiments eg princely persons and generals as a special honor, or officers, who were commanded to non- Prussian army corps.

Officers and other prominent persons ( for example, the most gifted surgeons were à la suite of medical corps ). They were not integrated into the command structure of a military unit, but associated with these, but had responsibilities in administration, military line ( War Department, or the like) or in military training institutions. Also could people à la suite of His Majesty are, when they are directly zuarbeiteten the ruler.
