A New Era

Un Nuevo Tiempo ( UNT, German: " A new era ") is a social-democratic oriented party in Venezuela. It was founded in 1999 by Manuel Rosales, who was from 2000 to 2008 governor of Zulia and as the common candidate of the opposition parties against Hugo Chavez took to the 2006 presidential elections. The party, founded in 2008 is part of the opposition coalition Mesa de la Unidad Democrática.

Since 2013, the party is an associate member of the Socialist International.
