The A947 road is an A road in the Scottish Council Areas Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

Course

The road branches in the western district of Aberdeen Bucksburn of the A90 (Aberdeen - Inverness ) from. After two kilometers you reach the village of Dyce and binds the clifftop International Airport to Aberdeen to the road network. Just north of Dyce they crossed the Don and taking it Aberdeenshire. Continue in a northerly direction to extend, reach the A947 after a total of ten kilometers, the village Newmachar, where it forms the main street. Beyond Newmachar turns increasingly from the course to the northwest.

Directly east of Oldmeldrum the A947 for a few hundred meters is performed together with the A920 ( Ellon, Dufftown ). Gradient Continue through the sparsely populated hinterland Aberdeenshire's, the road passes the location on the opposite bank of the Ythan village and Fyvie Fyvie Castle. Guides you through the small town and Turriff finally ending after a total length of 66 km along the A98 on the western edge of the city Macduff directly to the Bridge of Banff.
