Aabach (Seetal)

The Aabach is a stream in the Swiss cantons of Lucerne and Aargau, which belongs to the catchment area of ​​the Aare River and flows from south to north through the valley.

It rises in the Baldeggersee, which is fed by several short streams. In Mosen the creek empties into the Hallwilersee. Between Boniswil and Seengen he steps back out of the lake. About 700 meters from the northern end of the lake lies on two artificial islands the Hallwyl, one of the most important water castles in Switzerland. On the southern outskirts of Lenzburg branches off an underground tunnel relief, the rejoins the creek below Lower Lenz; by this excess amount of water is passed at high water. The Aabach opens in Wildegg in the Bünz; this in turn flows almost two hundred meters into the Aare.
