Aaran Lines

Aaran Lines ( born December 21, 1976 in Lower Hutt ) is a former New Zealand football player and current coach. Until 2004 he was also national team of his country.

Career

As a teenager Lines played at Halswell United. There he was discovered by a scout from Germany and transferred to Werder Bremen. From 1993 to 1996 he worked in Hamburg and moved in summer 1997 to Kickers Emden, for which he played 40 times. In 1998 he moved to VfL Osnabrück, before he returned to his homeland in 1999 to the Football Kingz. However, after only three years, he returned to Germany and played at Dresdner SC. In 2002 he moved to Poland to Ruch Chorzów, a year later, he also played in Poland for Arka Gdynia. In 2004 he signed a contract with Borussia Freialdenhoven, 2005, he played in Oregon at the Portland Timbers, then he went to the Rochester Raging Rhinos, he is since 2008 in Richmond SC under contract.

With the New Zealand national football team won Aaran Lines 1998 and 2002 the OFC Nations Cup against Australia. Overall, he played 31 games between 1998 and 2004 for his country, scoring four goals.
