The Aba River is a river in the southern part of Nigeria. He is named after the eponymous town Aba and is a tributary of the Imo River. The Aba is as fresh water supply for the city of over 1.7 million inhabitants, and their industrial areas of economic importance. The river rises in the northern Ngwa - hinterland of the city of Aba, near the village Okpu - Umuobu, and ends at the border of Rivers State in the Imo River.
