Abanyom is a ekoide language from the subfamily of bantoiden languages within the Niger -Congo language family.
It is spoken by the people of the region Abanyom in Cross River State in Nigeria, with a total of 12,500 speakers in 1986. As a member of the südbantoiden language group Abanyom is used relative to the Bantu languages. It is a tonal language and has a typical Niger -Congo noun class system.
