Abdul Sabur Farid Kohistani

Abdul Sabur Farid Kuhestani ( * 1952, † 3 May 2007) was an Afghan politician from the province of Kapisa.

From 6 July 1992 to 15 August 1992, he was Afghan prime minister. Kuhestani was a member of the Islamist Hezb -i Islami Afghanistan whose political leader Gulbuddin Hekmatyar followed him in the office of Prime Minister. He served as a Senator in the upper house of the Afghan Parliament. Previously, he was commander of the mujahideen Gulbuddin Hekmatyar's henchman and his province. On 3 May 2007 he was killed in a shooting outside his home in Kabul.
