Abdullah ibn Saad

ʿ Abd Allāh ibn Sa ʿ d ibn Abī Sarh (Arabic: عبد الله بن سعد بن أبي سرح ʿ Abd Allāh ibn Sa ʿ d ibn Abī Sarh, † 656), was a foster brother of Uthman ibn Affan. His father was one of the munāfiqūn in Medina.

ʿ Abd Allāh was the secretary of the Prophet Mohammed. When he dictated to him a verse with the attributes of God, " Hearing, " ( Sami ʿ ʿ alim ), he instead wrote: " knowing and wise " ( ʿ Alim Hakim ), without that the Prophet noticed the difference. Therefore, ʿ Abd Allāh began to doubt the truth of Muhammad's revelations. He returned as an apostate to Mecca. After the conquest of Mecca in the year 629 Muhammad ordered his execution; Uthman ibn Affan at the request of, his foster brother, he was pardoned.

ʿ Abd Allāh was during Uthman ibn Affan the Caliphate of governor of Egypt. He was the co-founder of the first Arab fleet.

The Baqt

ʿ Abd Allāh attempt to conquer Nubia failed. The successful resistance of the Nubians led to an armistice ( hudna ) - also baqt (Latin pactum ) called - with Muslims, according to which the Nubians against the annual supply of 360 slaves and slaves should receive from the Arabs grain and textiles. The slaves, intact, healthy persons, no children were to deliver to the governor of Aswan. The contract, which was limited to the inhabitants of the Christianized in the 6th century areas between Aswan and Alwa is delivered in both the local historian Ibn ʿ Abd al - Hakam as well as al - Baladhuri. In some traditions, the contract is dated April 652. The agreement lasted until the time of the Fatimids.
