Abner Biberman

Abner Biberman ( born April 1, 1909 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA, † June 20, 1977 in San Diego, California ) was an American actor, director and screenwriter. In some films, he was also mentioned as a Judge Joel.

Life and career

In the 1930s he worked on Broadway before he moved to Hollywood at the end of the decade. The small, exotic looking Biberman worked as an actor in supporting roles in films such as The Roaring Twenties, to see His Girl Friday and The Laughing bomb. Biberman was often used in villain roles, such as he played in the war years often in Japanese propaganda films. Biberman said to have Tony Curtis helped in its first action film to deal with the fight scenes. He also is said to have cast from the 1950s actor for movies. Later he established himself as a director of classic series such as Gunsmoke and 77 Sunset Strip, as well as several B- movies. He also wrote a screenplay.
