Abrasion (medical)

An abrasion is a wound that is produced when the skin is abraded by friction forces, such as during a fall. Only superficial abrasion is an example of an erosion, a deeper one example of excoriation.

Despite the fact that the graze is in itself not a dangerous injury that healed quickly without treatment, they should still be treated properly.
