The Pescara Airport (Italian: Aeroporto di Pescara or Aeroporto d' Abruzzo) is an international airport near the Italian Adriatic city of Pescara in the Abruzzo region.

It is located 3 km south on the ring road SS 16
Airlines and destinations
The airport is home base of ItAli Airlines. There are two German -speaking destinations: Weeze and Frankfurt-Hahn. Both are served by Ryanair. At the airport, various police and civil defense authorities have flying units.

History
The airport was established in 1917 as a military airfield. In 1933 the Società Aerea Mediterranea (Ala Littoria ) scheduled flights between Pescara and Rome - Urbe on. After the Second World War, first served Transadricatica and Avio Linee Italiane the airport, then Itavia, Alitalia, ATI and Aermediterranea. British Caledonian Airways flew from London to Pescara. In 1983, today's Air One was founded as Aliadriatica in Pescara.
