The group became the spiritual and organizational center and rallying point for the concerns of the representatives of the concrete, constructivist and geometric art movements.

In the years 1932-1937, the Artists' Association issued the almanac " Abstraction- Création, Art Non- figuratif ". The union made a lot of theoretical and methodological groundwork for the non-representational art. The artists were concerned with color studies in which physical- optical phenomena have been studied that have an impact on the vision of the viewer.
