The Rio Abuna (Brazilian Rio Abunã ) is a left tributary of the Rio Madeira in the Amazon lowlands in South America.
River
The headwaters of the river form various smaller rivers, which have their origin in the Cordillera Oriental of the Peruvian Andes. The river has a total length of 375 km, of which 320 km are navigable in the lower reaches, and flows in a northeasterly direction. A portion of the lower course forms to the mouth of the Rio Madeira, the border of northern Bolivia and western Brazil.
